The Affordable Homes Projects is a non profit organization, registered as a company limited by guarantee, with no shareholders, and exempt from using the term limited after its name. Registered in England and Wales.
Our objectives are
To research how affordable homes can be provided for people to buy
To contact any relevant party to encourage them to assist in the provision of affordable homes
To provide information in relation to ways that affordable homes can be provided and of any project, scheme or plan to provide it
To source land at lower cost to allow affordable homes to be produced
To offer affordable options with land acquired in a way that not only provides affordable homes now but will also in the future
To promote and in some cases participate in joint ventures to allow affordable homes to be provided
To encourage employers and others to look at how they can also stimulate the provision of affordable homes
We see our role as one of research, education and action.
We hope to co-operate with politicians, but do not see our role as campaigning for change, as much as making it happen ourselves.
We have no paid directors or staff of our own, our administration cost are being sponsored for the first 6 months by New Atlantis, a non profit organization registered in the UK that is not connected with politics or religion. Its principle purpose is to improve the quality of peoples lives.
